Here, you will join a diverse, talented, and innovative team with the GOAL of improving patients’ vision, bringing SimVis Gekko to clinics around the world and expanding the sales of a product with great projection in the international ophthalmology market. We are located in Tres Cantos, a technology hub on the outskirts of the magnificent and vibrant city of Madrid, Spain.
Role
As Clinical Development Director, you will lead our Clinical Development department, working with R&D and Marketing to validate and improve new ophthalmic medical devices in real-world clinical settings.
You will manage the clinical area, lead the company’s clinical and content strategy, be the primary point of contact with KOLs and clinics and gather their feedback. You will also represent the company at congresses and conferences and perform key pre-sales, demo and training tasks for customers and distributors.
The ideal candidate will have a desire to be challenged, strong collaboration, communication and leadership skills, a strong sense of initiative and the ability to travel frequently. You will also have an interest in working in the dynamic, fast-paced and diverse environment of a start-up.

Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in optometry. Other advanced degrees are a plus, PhD desirable.
* Fluency in both Spanish and English. Candidates without this ability should not apply, as you will use both languages for your daily oral and written communication with KOLs and clinicians in conferences, lectures and all types of meetings.
* Clinical experience in ophthalmology or optometry with a deep understanding of ophthalmic devices and their clinical applications. Research study experience is also desired.

* Strong problem solving and customer service skills
* Flexibility to adapt to new responsibilities and work environments
* Willingness to travel 25-50% of the time domestically and internationally as required
