The opportunity
As a Senior .NET Developer at EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) Spain, you will play a key role in designing and building modern, large-scale web applications and SaaS solutions for global clients. You will collaborate with internationally distributed Agile teams, leverage cutting-edge Microsoft technologies, and contribute to innovation through R&D, prototyping, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to influence architecture decisions, mentor junior developers, and deliver high-quality cloud-based solutions.
As a member of our team in the EY GDS Spain office in Malaga, you’ll have a chance to extend your knowledge and experience by working on exciting digital transformation projects using modern technologies and best practices, while supporting clients in selecting and implementing the most suitable technical solutions.
Your key responsibilities
As a Senior .NET Developer, you will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, from design to delivery and maintenance, in a fast-paced Agile environment. You will work closely with global stakeholders and customers to ensure high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions.
1. Design and implement new features and enhancements for existing applications
2. Lead research and development activities for new libraries, components, and technologies
3. Rapidly prototype new functionalities and applications
4. Review code, ensure best practices, and mentor junior team members
5. Identify, analyze, and fix bugs to ensure application stability and performance
6. Communicate effectively within globally distributed Agile teams
7. Handle technical queries from customers and business users
8. Maintain high development standards and continuously strive for better code quality
9. Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily scrums, sprint planning, grooming sessions, demos, and team activities

10. Strong experience working in Agile and fast-paced development environments
11. Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
12. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
13. Ability to collaborate effectively in distributed and multicultural teams

To qualify for the role, you must have
15. Minimum 4–5 years of hands-on experience in software development.
16. Degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
17. Proven experience developing large-scale web applications and SaaS solutions
18. Strong experience with Microsoft web technologies: C#, .NET Core
Ideally, you’ll also have
19. Expert-level experience in at least one modern frontend framework: Angular or React
20. Expert-level knowledge of TypeScript for web application development
21. Solid experience with relational databases: MS SQL / SQL Azure, EF 6, EF Core
22. Experience with non-relational databases such as MongoDB
23. Familiarity with Azure services: Key Vault, Azure Storage, Queues, Blob Storage
24. Experience in unit testing frameworks: NUnit, Moq, Jest
25. Experience using distributed version control systems such as Git or SVN
26. Experience with collaboration and project tracking tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, or Asana
27. Cloud-based application development experience on Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
28. Business analytics knowledge (a strong plus): Power BI, Azure Analysis Services, Tableau, Anaplan
Nice to have
29. Experience with responsive web design
30. Good understanding of HTML5, CSS, and SCSS
31. Experience integrating REST APIs and working with JSON
32. Experience using and integrating Microsoft Power BI
