We're looking for a Senior R&D Data Architect to help lead a data-driven transformation within the R&D organization. In this role, you'll design and implement modern data architectures that enable better decision-making, support advanced analytics and AI, and accelerate the delivery of medicines to patients.
Main responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of scalable, future-proof data architectures for R&D
Support advanced analytics and AI initiatives that accelerate decision-making and innovation
Ensure data is structured, accessible, and aligned with healthcare standards (e.g., HL7 FHIR)
Act as technical lead for data-centric projects, collaborating with R&D stakeholders and product owners
Create robust data models and flows that enhance regulatory, quality, and safety processes.
Work hands-on within a modern Data & AI ecosystem (AWS, Oracle, Snowflake, Informatica, etc.)
Translate business and scientific needs into efficient, scalable data solutions
Core skills/experience
Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
Bring 6+ years of experience in data architecture, engineering, or data product roles
Have experience working in Healthcare R&D with knowledge of data standards like HL7 FHIR and SPOR
Skilled in designing complex data models and guiding teams to implement scalable data solutions
Familiar with tools such as AWS (Glue, Lambda, DMS), Snowflake, Oracle, Informatica (PowerCenter, IICS)
Strong in SQL, with added skills in Python (pandas, PySpark) as a plus
Able to collaborate with both technical teams and R&D scientists, with excellent communication skills
