NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the implementation of the EU funded project called: EU assistance for the Uzbekistan AgriFood Development Strategy ********* and is searching for experts to support the core team during the implementation of this project.The overall objective of this assignment is to contribute to the development of a sustainable market-oriented and inclusive agri-food system that will increase farm income, expand livelihood opportunities and enhance food security for smallholder farmers, women and the most vulnerable groups in Uzbekistan.Location : Tashkent, Uzbekistan.Duration : The intended start date is 01 October **** and the period of implementation of the contract will be 48 months from this date.Key Expert: Team leader - Agriculture SpecialistMinimum Qualifications and skills:Master's degree in agriculture, agri-economics, rural development, public policy, natural resource management, or a directly related discipline; or a Bachelor's degree in the same field plus four years of relevant professional experience.Proficient knowledge of English (written and oral), minimum C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference.Proficiency in Russian and/or Uzbek is an asset.General professional experience:At least 10 years of cumulative professional experience in agricultural development, agricultural policy or institutional reform, of which at least 2 years in a team leader role on agricultural development projects and managing a team of at least 10 people.Specific professional experience:Demonstrated experience in agricultural policy design and implementation and institutional capacity building, including work on at least two of the following: food safety, land use rights, agricultural subsidies, extension services, or public finance management.Professional experience in Central Asia, Eastern Europe or the post-Soviet space is a significant asset.
