An opportunity for an Aircraft Static Loads Engineer within Flight Physics has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).
This position is offered to candidates with a Master's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, with an excellent academic record, especially in subjects related to Flight Physics, focusing on (but not limited to):
* Flight Mechanics, Aircraft Design, Aeroelasticity
* Aerodynamics, Structures
* Maths, Programming
* Control Systems, Propulsion

Our domain involves a wide variety of programs, including military tactical transports (CN-235, C-295, A400M, FMTC), Airbus derivatives and tankers (A310 & A330 MRTT), fighters (EF-2000, FCAS-NGF & RC), UAVs (Eurodrone, Sirtap), and technological programs like Clean Aviation. Main activities include:
* Building load models for flight and ground loads
* Managing 6DOF simulation codes for maneuver and gust conditions
* Performing load analysis for design, fatigue, 1g, failure cases, and operational loads, including trade-offs for sensitivity studies
* Generating nodal loads for FEM (NASTRAN)
* Ensuring flight and ground loads meet 'Permits to Fly' requirements
* Specifying, tracking, and analyzing flight tests related to loads measurements, with post-flight model adjustments if necessary
* Developing and maintaining software tools for load calculations
* Preparing certification documents and presenting to Airworthiness Authorities
* Providing ongoing airworthiness support and fleet analysis
* Supporting preliminary aircraft design
