Experteer Overview
In this Field Engineer role you ensure the integrity of UL certifications for customers in Portugal and North West Spain. You will perform inspections and audits in electrical and manufacturing contexts, often autonomously, driving compliance with UL requirements. The role combines hands-on fieldwork with cross-border collaboration to support diverse manufacturing clients. Travel is a core aspect, offering a dynamic, problem-solving environment and opportunities to shape certification processes.

* Perform safety and non-safety certification inspections and field evaluations according to performance standards.
* Analyze examination and test results against applicable requirements.
* Assess noncompliance variations and determine acceptability of alternatives.
* Audit customer quality management/assurance programs as needed.
* Exercise independent discretion in technical decisions and verify equipment calibration.
* Communicate findings to manufacturers, customers and authorities to resolve issues.
* Document examinations, variations and test results;
maintain inspection logs and schedules.
* Conduct calculations across electrical, mechanical, chemical or fire protection domains.
Responsabilidades
* Bachelor in Engineering or equivalent (2–4 years related experience)
* 2–4 years directly related experience in Engineering, Quality, or Electrical Maintenance
* Customer-focused mindset and ability to work independently
* English reading/writing/speaking at professional level
* Spanish fluency;
Portuguese a plus
* Willingness to travel across Northern Spain and across Portugal (car/plane)
