I’m currently with an industry leader in smart charging technology, who is driving the transition to smarter, cleaner transport and energy across Europe. Their platform connects EVs, energy providers, and end-users through intelligent charging technology, and they’re now looking to expand their presence in Spain.
As part of this growth phase, they’re seeking a Business Development Manager to lead B2B sales in the Spanish market. The role involves building relationships, developing partnerships, and expanding access to innovative EV charging solutions via installer networks, distributors, and automotive partners.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Develop and secure commercial partnerships with key players in the EV ecosystem (installers, wholesalers, car dealerships, etc.)
2. Manage a pipeline of prospects and oversee the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract closing
3. Achieve revenue targets for hardware sales and software subscriptions
4. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling across product lines
5. Attend industry events to promote the brand, build awareness, and expand your network
6. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform local strategy
7. Act as the voice of the customer internally, providing insights to improve products and services
Requirements :
* Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in EV, energy, or tech sectors
* Self-motivated with a drive to generate leads and explore new markets
* Strong relationship-building and communication skills, capable of initiating impactful conversations
* Experience managing a sales pipeline and using CRM tools
* Passionate about sustainability, e-mobility, and the energy transition
* Fluency in Spanish and English
* Based in Spain, with occasional travel to Barcelona HQ or London
