The role
Chief Accountant
You will be responsible for managing the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring adherence to local and international accounting standards and tax compliance. You’ll lead a team of accountants, providing mentorship and guidance while optimizing processes to increase efficiency. Key projects include implementing advanced accounting software, integrating financial data with sustainability metrics, and supporting strategic initiatives aimed at reducing costs while promoting eco-friendly packaging solutions.
Responsibilities include:
* Driving financial planning and reporting at a leading sustainable packaging company
* Collaborating closely with the Regional South Finance Director and other departments to provide financial insights for decision-making

Skills & Requirements
Experience: Extensive experience overseeing the full accounting cycle, managing monthly closings, supplier accounting, and ensuring compliance. Skilled in managing amortization schedules, deferred taxes, inter-company transactions, and preparing financial reports. Proficiency in ERP systems, especially SAP, is essential. Organizational skills, attention to detail, and adaptability are crucial.
Education & Language: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus. At least 8 years of professional experience, including leadership roles. Fluent in Spanish (native) and proficient in English.
