OverviewJunior IT Risk Audit Analyst – Banco Santander. Santander is evolving towards a technology‑driven organization with people at its core. Internal Audit provides independent assurance on the quality and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and governance, contributing to the protection of value, solvency and reputation.Impact you will generateAs a Junior IT Business Risk Audit Analyst, your main objective will be to review the controls implemented in technology platforms, providing service from the Corporate Center to the Audit units within Santander Group in the USA.Responsibilities- Review governance, risk management and internal control processes related to technology.- Provide independent assurance as a third line of defense on the effectiveness of technology‑related governance, risk management and internal controls.- Evaluate the design and operational effectiveness of technology controls.- Draft and maintain audit working papers in accordance with Internal Audit methodology and standards.- Validate action plans and track the implementation of corrective measures from audit observations.- Participate in walkthroughs, follow‑up meetings and results discussions with audited areas.- Collaborate with Santander US Internal Audit teams and other geographies on global and local audits.- Contribute to audit report drafting, defining clear recommendations aimed at process improvement.- Engage with Technology teams and other related control functions in an international environment.What you will bring to the teamOur people are our greatest strength. The following requirements represent the essential knowledge, skills and abilities for this role.Experience- 1–3 years of experience in internal audit, IT audit, technology risk management or technology risk consulting in financial institutions or professional services firms.- Experience executing IT control tests, audit documentation and risk assessment.Education- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Mathematics or equivalent.- Certifications, master’s/postgraduate courses and specialization programs in technology or auditing are valued.LanguagesHigh proficiency in English is required as work is conducted in this language.Technical Skills (Hard Skills)- Advanced proficiency in Office and database handling.- Knowledge of programming languages (Python, SAS, SQL, R, etc.).- NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF).- NIST 800-53.- FFIEC IT Examination Handbook.- SOX IT General Controls.- OCC and Federal Reserve guidance applicable to technology and cybersecurity.Interpersonal Skills (Soft Skills)- Ability to work in a team environment.- Willingness to learn and take initiative.- Critical thinking and high self‑discipline.- Effective communication skills.Travel: Generally not required, but occasional travel to the USA units of the Group may be necessary.Value you bring to SantanderYou can expect a fair and competitive compensation package that reflects your impact and the value you deliver.
