We are seeking a Senior Technical Asset Manager Renewables (Wind Solar) brRole Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Technical Asset Manager to join our client's dynamic team in Madrid. brKey Responsibilities brTechnical Asset Management Oversight brTake ownership of technical asset management for assigned wind portfolios, while providing technical support for solar PV assets. brManage and coordinate daily interactions with Asset Management and O M service providers, ensuring adherence to all contractual terms. brOversee third‐party contractors and advisors, including insurers, market operators, and other external service providers. brBuild and maintain thorough knowledge of SPV‐level agreements, such as O M contracts, asset management agreements, grid connections, land leases, and commercial arrangements. brEnsure full compliance with technical, commercial, legal, and regulatory standards across all assets. brReview, challenge, and assess service provider procedures and processes to verify compliance with contractual obligations, internal standards, and applicable legislation. brAnalyze monthly O M and performance reports, identify performance gaps or contract deviations, and drive remediation actions. brPerform site visits and technical audits to evaluate asset condition, operational availability, and long‐term reliability. brSupervise and ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements related to operational systems and data. brEnforce strict adherence to HSE standards and support efficient management of incidents and insurance claims. Performance Monitoring, Analytics Optimization brDefine, track, and report technical and financial KPIs for wind and solar assets. brConduct detailed performance analysis, including internal benchmarking and comparison with industry standards. brProduce recurring asset and portfolio performance reports, clearly identifying risks, deviations, and value‐creation opportunities. brIdentify, propose, and implement technical, operational, and contractual improvement initiatives. brSupport assessments related to life‐extension, repowering, and optimization strategies, with a strong focus on wind assets. Operating Cost Management (OPEX) brDrive OPEX tracking and cost‐control initiatives across the portfolio. brIdentify efficiency improvements and cost‐reduction opportunities without compromising asset availability or performance. brMonitor revenue streams and work closely with internal teams to explain performance variances and financial risks. Stakeholder Engagement Strategic Support brAct as the primary technical point of contact for key stakeholders, including O M contractors, market agents, landowners, suppliers, and regulatory authorities. brMaintain frequent collaboration with UK‐based partners and clients, particularly in relation to offshore wind assets. brProvide technical support to M A activities, including due diligence reviews, asset assessments, and post‐acquisition integration. brContribute to the enhancement of internal asset‐management tools, processes, and reporting standards. Required Competencies Skills brStrong and proven expertise in wind energy systems; offshore wind experience is preferred, with onshore wind expertise also acceptable. brSolid technical understanding of solar PV technology, particularly regulated assets (experience under RD 413/2014 is required). brGood working knowledge of contractual and legal frameworks related to Asset Management and O M. brFluent written and spoken English (minimum C1/C2 level), with regular direct interaction with UK‐based stakeholders. brStrong commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement. brHighly autonomous and proactive, able to manage multiple workstreams across different functions. brFast learner with the ability to grasp complex topics such as energy regulation, taxation, financial structures, and business models. brCollaborative team player with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. brStrong analytical mindset, comfortable handling and interpreting large datasets. brAdvanced Excel capability (including pivot tables, lookups, conditional formatting, and dashboard development). brStrong Power Point skills, with the ability to translate technical analysis into clear, executive‐level presentations. brHands‐on experience using project‐management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Planner) in O M or asset‐management environments. brPractical experience working with SCADA data, including trends, alarms, and performance curves, focused on operational efficiency, availability, and forecasting (excluding system administration). Education Professional Experience brBachelor's and/or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. br+5 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in project execution, asset management, or O M roles. brProven hands‐on experience with wind assets (offshore wind farm exposure is a strong advantage). brDemonstrated experience managing regulated solar PV assets. brFamiliarity with additional renewable energy technologies is considered an asset.
