The Role:
As Senior Procurement Manager, you will own the day-to-day execution of global procurement, personally leading complex negotiations while driving a significant transformation of tools, processes, and ways of working.
You will act as both operator and coach: setting standards, building scalable processes, and developing a team of category managers across technology, SaaS, cloud, and professional services spend.
Key Responsibilities:
Execution & Deal Leadership
- Lead or co-lead high-value and complex negotiations across SaaS, cloud, technology, and professional services
- Manage the full sourcing lifecycle end-to-end: scoping, RFx, evaluation, negotiation, award, and contract execution
- Drive a robust pipeline of savings initiatives with clear ownership, timelines, and measurable outcomes
- Act as the primary escalation point for supplier issues, contract risks, and active deal challenges
Process & Systems Transformation
- Design and roll out a scalable global procurement operating model (intake, approvals, P2P, CLM)
- Lead the selection, implementation, and adoption of procurement tools (e.g. Coupa, Zip, SAP Ariba or similar)
- Build and embed category playbooks, contract templates, sourcing frameworks, and supplier onboarding standards
- Establish spend visibility, analytics, savings tracking, and vendor performance dashboards
- Partner closely with Finance, Legal, and IT to integrate procurement seamlessly into the business
Team Development & Leadership
- Act as hands-on coach to category managers, reviewing deals and elevating negotiation quality
- Set clear performance standards and individual development plans
- Foster a learning culture through sharing market intelligence, best practices, and negotiation techniques
- Build long-term team capability, enabling category managers to grow into senior, independent operators
Candidate Profile:
- 8–12 years of procurement experience, with 3–4+ years in a senior / lead hands-on role within a technology or SaaS environment
- Strong reputation as an executor: pragmatic, delivery-focused, and comfortable operating in fast-paced environments
- Proven experience leading procurement process or systems transformations
- Track record managing and developing junior or mid-level procurement professionals
- Deep expertise across SaaS, cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure), IT hardware, and enterprise software
- Strong negotiation experience across complex, multi-year contracts in EU and US contexts
- Experience with modern procurement platforms (Coupa, Zip, Ariba, or similar)
- High analytical capability: spend analysis, savings modelling, and business case development
- Fluent English required; additional European languages are a plus
- CIPS, CPSM, or similar certification valued
