Operational Ownership
In this role, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the Security Department to provide exceptional services within Six Senses brand operating standards and budget.
I will follow "best practice" business security standards, solutions and guidance to maintain a secure environment for the protection of hosts, guests, property and information. I will collaborate with all departments and external groups to effectively resolve security related issues.
I will perform the following relevant tasks for this role:
Assist in controlling, coordinating and participating in the activities of all personnel engaged in securing all resort properties, guests, hosts and to follow the instructions of the Safety/Security Manager.
· Conduct security patrol within and around the resort.
· Coordinate activities of all uniformed outsourced guards engaged in the implementation of management, safety and security procedures of the resort.
· Coordinate closely with engineering, reception, food and beverage, housekeeping hosts to ensure guest safety and security.
· Check and ensure performance of uniformed outsourced security guards.
· Review all security reports submitted at the end of shift to see if they are accurate and complete.
· Inform the Security Director of any incidents that have occurred in the resort.
· Conduct preliminary investigation of any allegations of theft by resort hosts. All investigations are to be kept confidential and submitted to the manager.
· Enforce all lost control manual and resort policies and procedures.
· Inspect each security post periodically ensuring full coverage by designated hosts or uniformed outsourced guards.
· Record in the logbook, all unusual incidents of theft cases arising in the resort for action taken.
· Fully understand the team goals and objectives, ensuring that the maximum is done to achieve the targets.
· Conduct random bag inspections of hosts/vendors/suppliers entering and leaving the resort. Ensure asset removal policy is adhered to, to prevent resort assets being removed from the resort without the proper authority.
· Upkeeps Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded.
· Strictly adheres to LQA standards and guest comments.
· Qualifications
To execute the position of Security Supervisor (paternity cover), I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:
- Possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Security Management or related field, and at least three years of relevant experience in security operations within luxury hotels or resorts.
- Must have no criminal record and meet all legal and regulatory requirements to work in a security capacity.
- Technical skills include proficiency in advanced MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with HRIS or security management systems.
- I have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Spanish.
- I will maintain a thorough understanding of Six Senses in terms of guidelines, rules and regulations, brand and operating standards, facilities, and services
