The Cloud Security Architect (m / f / d) is responsible for designing the overall cloud security strategy, defining policies, and ensuring that cloud environments are resilient to evolving threats. They work with development and engineering teams, IT Teams, and compliance teams to create a secure cloud architecture.
Responsibilities:
Design secure Multi-Cloud and Hybrid Environments that align with business needs and industry best practices
Define and maintain a secure Multi-Cloud Architecture Framework
Support Cloud First approach and conduct security assessments in cloud environments/projects
Select and oversee the implementation of cloud security tools (e.G., CSPM, CASB)
Provide technical leadership by guiding teams on secure cloud adoption and risk mitigation strategies
Conduct cloud security assessments and threat modeling to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements
Adopt and promote a security-by-design approach with stakeholders
Work with engineering and DevOps teams to integrate security controls into cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines
Contribute to the Corporate Information Security architecture community, sharing insights and best practices
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with security frameworks and regulations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's / Master's in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
3+ years in cybersecurity, preferably as Cloud Security Architect
Preferred certifications:
CISSP, SABSA, and cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Proficiency in English;
German and French are aplus
Deep understanding of cloud security concepts (e.G., shared responsibility model)
Expertise in cloud security frameworks (e.G., NIST, CSA, CIS Benchmarks)
Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security services
Experience with cloud security controls and governance (e.G., CSPM, CWPP, encryption, logging/monitoring)
Understanding of DevSecOps principles and CI/CD security integration
