Eurecat is the main Research & Technology Organisation in Catalonia and the second largest private research organization in southern Europe. **Job description**:
The **Omics Sciences Unit**is a scientific infrastructure equipped with the most advanced instruments on the market, such as 2nd and 3rd generation sequencers (Illumina, Ion Torrent, Nanopore, and Luminex technologies) for studies in genomics, metagenomics, epigenomics, and transcriptomics, as well as a wide range of nuclear magnetic resonance and liquid and gas chromatography equipment coupled with mass spectrometers, including triple quadrupole, quadrupole time-of-flight, and Orbitrap, for research in proteomics and metabolomics. Additionally, there is a bioinformatics team available to analyze and integrate all the obtained data.
Its expertise is based on the development of new advanced analytical methods to continuously innovate and solve large-scale problems. All of this, combined with the capabilities of different technological units at Eurecat, enables the provision of solutions to complex and specific issues across a wide range of sectors, including biomedicine, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, the environment, food, veterinary care, and more.
**Functions and responsibilities**:_ _
- _Coordination, technical and financial management of the project._
- _Planning, supervision, execution, and evaluation of tasks and experimental results of the project (including the development of the necessary analytical methodologies on the LC/GC-MS platforms)._
- _Collaboration in other research projects within the Omics Sciences Unit, including providing analytical services to private companies and public organizations, as well as client contact and advisory services._

**Studies**:
- PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Environmental Sciences, or a related field, preferably with a focus on environmental sample analysis.
**Knowledge and Experience**:
- Coordination of R&D;&i; projects and tasks
- Extensive knowledge in the use of LC/GC-MS platforms
- Previous work in the analysis of environmental and/or exposome samples
- Knowledge in the field of toxicology will be highly valued
- Experience with other techniques and technologies not mentioned, within the field of omics sciences and statistical data analysis, will also be considered an advantage.

- High level of English (written and spoken)
- A good level of Spanish or Catalan is an asset.
