Job description.
The FBA Supervisor is responsible for providing accurate financial and management reporting, including Freight, Bill, Audit & Payment data analysis. This role aims to enhance DHL's commercial position by adding value, identifying and managing risks, and fulfilling all contractual obligations.
The primary focus of this role is to:
1. Ensure processes are in place to maintain adherence and control over the balance sheet and working capital on passthroughs.
2. Drive process improvement.
3. Act as a business partner to supported contracts.
4. Contribute to the creation and development of forecasts, budgets, and month-end trading reports.
Accountabilities
* Act as the finance lead for the site, presenting to the customer during period reviews and supporting the preparation of annual customer budgets and periodic forecasts.
* Develop and strengthen customer relationships at both finance and operational levels to ensure excellent service.
* Manage a small team to meet service level agreements and KPIs through operational excellence and continuous improvement.
* Ensure costs are managed and controlled in a compliant manner with proper segregation of duties.
* Coordinate and compile trading results, including forecasting, and ensure period-end reporting with fully explainable forecast-to-actual results.
* Serve as the first point of contact for all contract finance questions.
* Challenge and maximize EBIT & EAC performance, engaging with contract management teams to implement and monitor improvement plans.
* Ensure compliance with statutory and DHL policies, with regular monitoring to maintain high standards.
* Oversee financial monitoring of all operational and transport services provided on an open-book basis to the customer.
Requirements for the Job
* People management experience.
* Proficiency in English.
* Excellent communication skills across all levels of the business and with external stakeholders.
* Ability to work with both detailed and high-level information.
* Proven ability to build relationships outside the finance function with well-developed communication skills.
* Experience in business partnering within a sector environment.
* Part-qualified or qualified accountant.
