About the CompanyWe are a fast-growing startup within an international trading group, expanding our presence in Europe through the opening of a new office in Barcelona (Catalonia).
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Purchasing Manager who will become a key independent figure responsible for establishing and developing the company's procurement processes. This is a unique opportunity to build an efficient procurement system from scratch in an international environment and play a critical role in the company's growth and scaling in Spain.
Shipment & Logistics CoordinationCoordinate shipments (interaction with suppliers and logistics partners)Prepare supporting documentation in collaboration with the back officeOn-site Quality ControlOrganize and/or conduct quality inspections at supplier facilitiesSupport procurement and production planning
Higher education in agriculture, food industry, logistics, or economics
Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement of agricultural products/raw materials in SpainNegotiating with local producersExperience with olives and/or olive oil is a strong advantage
Understanding of agricultural supply chains, including international supply chainsKnowledge of legal principles of international tradeBasic understanding of quality standards for olive oil and olivesStrong negotiation skills and ability to secure commercial termsSpanish — fluent (C1–C2)English — fluent (C1–C2)
