Unisys Order Manager (OM)
, a cloud-native, microservices-based application hosted on
AWS
, supporting Airlines’ transition to Modern Airline Retailing. OM is designed for high availability, scalability, and security, integrating with legacy systems and modern APIs under strict compliance and observability standards.
Key Responsibilities: Infrastructure & Automation Design, implement, and maintain
Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
using
Terraform
or
AWS CloudFormation
. Provision and manage
AWS environments
(Dev, Test, UAT, Prod, DR) with automated deployment pipelines. Configure and manage
EKS clusters
,
API Gateway
,
Kafka
,
ElastiCache
, and
NoSQL databases
.
Security & Compliance Implement security controls across environments using
AWS Security Hub
,
GuardDuty
,
WAF
, and
IAM
. Manage secrets and credentials using
AWS Secrets Manager
. Ensure compliance with
GDPR
,
ISO 27001
, and
IATA standards
through secure deployment practices.
CI/CD & Release Management Develop and maintain
CI/CD pipelines
for microservices using tools like
GitLab CI
,
Jenkins
, or
GitHub Actions
. Integrate security scanning tools (SAST, DAST, SCA) into the pipeline (e.g.,
Snyk
,
SonarQube
,
Trivy
). Support zero-downtime deployments and live patching strategies.
Monitoring & Observability Implement observability stack using
OpenTelemetry
,
Prometheus
,
CloudWatch
, and
OpenSearch
. Configure dashboards and alerts for performance, availability, and security metrics. Forward telemetry data to
SIEM
and
data lake
for analytics and compliance.
Disaster Recovery & Resilience Design and test
active-passive DR strategies
using AWS multi-region deployments. Configure
Pilot Light
architecture and failover mechanisms with
Route53
,
Kafka Connect
, and
general DB clusters
. Conduct
chaos engineering
and
failover simulations
to validate system resilience.
