Role
SCIB (Global Banking Business Development) seeks an Associate Business Development & Strategy based out of Luca de Tena office (Madrid). As a Business Developer, you will be in a cross-functional team responsible to support origination and product teams within Global Banking as well as to lead and execute strategic initiatives. You will help shape how we work through innovation, technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas.
Responsibilities
* Portfolio oversight: monitor and control relevant KPIs with business areas, countries and external advisors; focus on financials and commercial activity; follow up on market trends; collaborate with Financial Control, ACPM and other stakeholders within the division.
* Critically evaluate, review and challenge materials; the role has a high technical content.
* Strategy: support global businesses, develop and execute the business strategic plan across geographies.
* Assist in preparing materials and strategic presentations for Global Banking senior management.
* Governance: manage governance adequacy and align business with SCIB policies and processes.
* Proactively support the implementation of business projects and contribute to increased efficiency and productivity in SCIB.

Professional Experience
* Previous experience in finance or related roles (2–5 years).
Education
* University degree (Economics, Finance or STEAM recommended).
Languages
* Fluent written and spoken English.
Hard Skills
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, VBA, Power BI).
* Programming/Power BI and other automation tools is a plus.
* Knowledge of Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) products is a plus.
* Understanding of capital concepts and capital markets is a plus.
Soft Skills
* Analytical and detail oriented.
* Diligent, proactive and forward-thinking.
* Good communications skills.
* Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
