As part of our Production team, you will be in charge of managing, developing, functioning and improvement the operation of Laminoria quarry, taking into account the local regulations, permits and the agreed cost budget, in order to ensure an efficient and safe continuation of operational activities.
Your Impact in This Role
As an Quarry Supervisor, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Manage Operations activities:
o Manage the Operations activities in the Quarry according to the Operational Excellence principles and in a safe way.
o To hold the Facultative Direction of the quarry.
o Follow up subcontractors’ activities.
o Manage the Operations in the limestone crushing plant.
- Safety:
o Ensure a safe work environment at the Quarries according to Sibelco’s safety regulations.
o Support the Operations Manager to guarantee a Zero Harm approach to operational safety.
- Realize growth:
o Maintain a competitive cost position, increase site yield, better value-products and improve processes.
o Follow up specific KPI’s per unit.
o Raw material, maintenance, energy, FTE and by-products/wastes as main Opex drivers.
- People Management:
o Motivate and evaluate the team members to enhance team collaboration and support their individual development and growth.
What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering.
- Experience in quarry operations and knowledge of the quarry regulation and permitting policies.
- People skills: efficient and clear communication, able to motivate the team.
- Behavioural skills: open minded, team player, pro-active, able to work.independently, self-motivated, leadership skills, communication skills.
