The Byrom/MATCH group operates hospitality, accommodation and ticketing programmes at major general sports events. The objective of the Group Digital Data Analyst is to transform group-wide web and digital data into insights, and insights into actions.
The Digital Data Analyst will collaborate with Marketing, Sales and IT teams to ensure our analytics foundation not only enables precise measurement today, but also evolves to meet the next generation of commerce-agentic, conversational, and AI-driven.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing governance and implementation of analytics tools ensuring consistent taxonomy and event standards across platforms.
- Defining and executing a holistic digital analytics vision.
- Developing, maintaining, and distributing key performance reports and dashboards.
- Presenting analytical findings in a clear and actionable way, helping translate data into strategic recommendations.
- Understanding customers' behaviours, preferences and intent to purchase.
- Turning insights into action that optimizes customer experience, conversion, and engagement.
- Embedding a collaborative test-and-learn culture that drives continuous improvement in digital experience and conversion.
- Providing deep-dive analyses into friction points, funnel performance, and engagement patterns to guide prioritization.
- Bridging the gap between marketing actions and web analytics, and CRM insights in Salesforce.
Qualifications
- Event experience and an understanding of the sales cycle of major sporting events.
- Ecommerce experience with expertise in UX and web journeys that drive conversion.
- Expertise in cross-platform analytics, attribution modelling, and journey analysis.
- Extensive experience with GA4, Tag Manager, Looker etc.
- Curiosity and adaptability for emerging areas like conversational commerce, AI-based personalization, and privacy-centric analytics.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, able to bridge technical detail with strategic clarity.
- A commitment to working inclusively and collaboratively in a global, cross-functional environment.
- An events mindset with a passion and enthusiasm to deliver the highest standard in events management.
- An ability to adapt to changes and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
