Head of Finance Iberia/Latam
Important multinational company is looking for a Head of Finance Iberia/Latam, based in Madrid. The ideal candidate will have at least 3‐5 years of experience as a Finance Manager/Director or Controller within a multinational organization, with strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP for Iberia and Latin American countries, solid SAP proficiency, and English fluency.

The Head of Finance IBERIA/LATAM is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial, legal, and administrative aspects of the region's operations. This position ensures compliance with international and local regulations, supports business decision‐making through financial insights, and maintains a robust control system.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting
Ensure accounting activities are compliant with group and local requirements.
Account for AP, AR, GL and credit management.
Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Coordinate with local tax advisors for compliance, payroll, customs and other obligations.
Manage VAT, dunning processes and valuation rules.
Maintain internal controls and manage tax audits.
Ensure accurate internal and external reporting in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS.
Liaise with central accounting, audit departments, and local auditors.
Controlling
Act as a strategic partner to business leaders, supporting decision‐making through financial insights.
Monitor forecasts, budgets and mid‐term plans.
Conduct regular reviews with local & regional management and perform impairment tests.
Define and implement KPIs to track performance.
Lead cost‐control initiatives and cost‐reduction projects.
Manage asset inventories and ensure accurate reporting to external agencies.
Company Law
Ensure all legal and contractual obligations of the entity are met.
Manage legal setup and administration, including bylaws and shareholder meetings.
Uphold the four‐eyes principle.
Handle legal cases in collaboration with corporate legal and local lawyers.
Maintain general terms and conditions and oversee contract management.
Define and communicate risk policies and processes (market, credit & operational risks).
Implement and monitor internal control systems.
Manage insurance and participate in claim management.
Conduct risk assessments and reporting, and track mitigation actions.
IT
Oversee execution, implementation and maintenance of finance‐related IT systems.
Manage finance applications and tools.
Define and maintain user authorizations.
Serve as interface to Corporate IT.
Support centrally defined IT implementations in the region.
General Administration
Implement and monitor the approval matrix and the IBERIA/LATAM authorization framework.
Define and implement local rules and guidelines to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration; MBA or professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA) preferred.
3‐5 years of progressive finance experience (FP&A, controlling, business partnering) in a multinational environment.
Experience in the Lighting, Electrical, Building Materials or Industrial Manufacturing industries is highly desirable.
Solid knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP for Iberia and Latin American countries.
Proven track record in planning, budgeting, and financial analysis for multi‐country regions.
Advanced proficiency in SAP (FI/CO, S/4HANA) and analytical tools such as Power BI or EPM systems.
Fluent in English and Spanish; Portuguese a strong advantage.
Excellent analytical, communication and influencing skills; ability to translate financial data into strategic insight.
Demonstrated leadership, adaptability and cross‐cultural management skills.
Willingness to travel across Iberia and Latin America.
