* Professional accounting experience with 7+ years post-qualified experience
* Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory requirements
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strategic thinking and results orientation
* Excellent communication skills in English, capable of presenting financial information to senior leadership
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
* Experience with financial systems and software
* Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
* Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software; MS Dynamics experience is a bonus
* High attention to detail with a good understanding of the big picture
* Strong technical, automation, and analytical skills
* Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills
* Flexible, team-oriented, and capable of handling multiple priorities
* Business-oriented with customer service skills within a team environment
* Experience in preparing VAT, corporate tax returns, and statutory financial statements, collaborating with tax advisors
* Consolidation experience is a plus
Main responsibilities & tasks
* Manage daily operations of the core accounting department, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
* Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for compliance
* Oversee preparation of financial statements and provide insights to leadership
* Analyze financial data and report on performance, risks, and opportunities
* Maintain internal controls to protect assets
* Monitor KPIs to improve financial performance
* Collaborate with legal, finance, and tax departments to align with business goals
* Assist in budgeting and forecasting
* Manage external audit relationships
* Coach and evaluate the accounting team
* Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes
* Identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy
* Lead ad-hoc projects to add value and insights
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare supporting documentation
* Assist with onboarding acquisition accounting practices
* Support new process and system implementations
