Who You Are / Our Vision
The DevOps Engineer enables product teams to deliver new capabilities faster through a closer partnership with operations teams and increased use of automation and tooling. They identify and optimize interdependencies between applications development and infrastructure operations through a collaborative approach and continuous delivery.
Job Highlights
* Drive value using agile IT life cycle management from product prototyping to development, deployment, and optimization
* Lead the engineering through development of patterns and practices for CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions across a broad variety of technologies with deployment targets including AWS, Azure, and numerous SaaS solutions (technologies to be confirmed)
* Lead technical execution of product-related, end-to-end customer and business operations and experiences
* Inform and influence relevant stakeholders to deliver and support successful DevOps functionality
* Partners with peers within Digital to drive the continuous improvement of service processes, user experiences, and application optimization in alignment with business stakeholders
* Quickly understand the current state of DevOps and bring knowledge to chart the course to daily releases for hundreds of products on dozens of technologies
* Technical expert in DevOps and reliability engineering with YAML pipelines, AWS experience (Code Deploy), GitHub Actions, Static Code Analysis, Kubernetes, AMIs, Ansible
Key Functional Requirements & Qualifications
* Experience working in agile cross-functional teams
* You are curious, have excellent analytical capabilities, and have the drive to find solutions and strong problem-solving skills
* Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
* Desire to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment; ability to manage multiple priorities
* Drives proof of concept implementations
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and in writing
Key Technical Requirements & Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or similar field
* Experience in Python, Shell scripting
* Experience in GIT-based source code management systems (GitHub, GitLab) and CI/CD practices (GitHub Actions)
* Experience in automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications
* Experience in infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)
* Experience in Linux-based operating systems
* Experience with cloud-based services (AWS, Azure)
* Experience in agile development processes and DevOps methodology/principles
* Experience in data storage technologies (Object, structured, and unstructured)
* Familiarity with fundamentals of networking concepts
Nice To Have
* Experience with monitoring and dashboarding solutions like Google Analytics, PowerBI, Grafana, Prometheus, and MLFlow
* Experience with code quality and security solutions like SonarQube and Checkmarx
* Experience with artifact and container repositories like Artifactory and ECR
* Experience with Identity and Access Management solutions like Keycloak
* Experience applying FinOps, SecOps, and GitOps principles in practice
* Experience with distributed systems (Spark, Hadoop)
* Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (AWS RDS)
* Experience in Integration Services (Informatica Cloud, Airflow)
* Experience in cloud-based machine learning platforms (Databricks, AWS Sagemaker)
* Experience in Data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, AWS Redshift)
* Experience in working within compliance (e.g.: quality, regulatory - data privacy, GxP, SOX) and cybersecurity requirements
* Relevant cloud certifications are a plus
