To lead and oversee the mechanical aspects of an EPC project for a desalination plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, design, and execution within large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects, with a focus on water treatment or desalination systems.Key Responsibilities :
Design and Analysis :
Develop, review, and approve mechanical designs, including piping, pumps, valves, and rotating equipment specific to desalination processes. Project Coordination :
Collaborate with multidisciplinary and international teams (civil, electrical, process) to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems within the project. Equipment Specification :
Prepare technical specifications, select equipment, and evaluate supplier proposals to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards. Procurement and fabrication :
Review vendor documentation and oversee fabrication processes. Compliance :
Ensure all mechanical systems comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Cost and Schedule Management :
Monitor project budgets and schedules, contributing to efficient resource allocation.Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred). Between 5 to 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering. Experience in EPC projects is a plus. Fluent written and spoken English Familiarity with industry codes and standards (e.G., ASME, API, ISO). Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams and interact with stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Experience with desalination and water treatment processes is a plus.
