And with strong Private Equity Investors from Advent International and Eurazeo, we are well set up to win.We know that it’s our people that differentiates who we are and what we do and that is why we are keen to hire world class talent like you.**Role Overview**This is a 100% new business sales role with primary focus on building robust relationships with decision makers in Retailers and merchants with strong international footfall. The goal is to secure new customers to our core suite of products and services within Spain. The role holder will work closely with Key Account Managers, the Sales Director, Country Manager, Sales Support, Marketing and wider teams to sell our international acquiring solutions to these new customers.**What you will do**- Lead the review of the acquiring opportunities in the Retail Sector and the building of a commercial business case to support investment in this sector.- Build an annual Sales Development plan. Develop and maintain a pipeline of business opportunities.- Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual new business sales targets.- Maximise revenue opportunities and ensure business is sufficiently profitable.- Manage the customer relationship until they are handed to an Account Manager.- React to customer / partners queries in a professional and timely manner.- Work with supporting departments to resolve to a satisfactory standard.- Accurately complete sales documentation which supports the sale of services that include quotations, proposals and tenders.- Lead on the creation and delivery of new business presentations with customers.- Make sure that the CRM system is kept updated with customer and opportunity information in line with the KPI’s set by the manager.- Provide information to manager and other internal individuals / departments in an accurate and timely manner.- Work and contribute within the broader sales team, creating and promoting ideas to assist colleagues in the achievement of set objectives.- Work professionally, effectively and constructively to promote the company.- Carry out any additional duties which would be deemed by the manager and company to be in the best interest of the company and its customers.**Who you are**- Must have proven experience in new business sales, preferably within the merchant acquiring or related payments Industry.- Must have previous sales experience to selling to retail operations and an understanding of retail technology.- Proven knowledge of current sales techniques and strong working knowledge of developing a sales pipeline and sales development plan.- Proven track record in managing and the delivery of new business targets- A knowledge of the Spanish Retail industry or IT solutions within Retail would be an advantage- Knowledge of Card Acquiring, DCC, retail payment solutions or Retail EPOS systems would be an advantage.- Knowledge of the pricing models for Visa, Mastercard, and other card schemes and experience of negotiating merchant acquiring agreements with retailers.- Knowledge of card scheme rules as they affect the sale of merchant acquiring services.**What you will need to bring to Planet**- Proven interpersonal and networking skills ideally in a similar sales environment- Proven communication and team working skills- Proven organizational, planning and sales preparation skills.- Working knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce or similar)- Excellent IT skills inc. Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Corporate IT systems such as Outlook- Medium/high level of English and Spanish: read, written and spoken.**In addition, you’ll be**- Passion for sales: Must have proven ability to architect and drive through sales in a fast-growing
