This legal position involves drafting and reviewing legal documents such as commercial contracts (NDA, MSA, SOW), agreements, internal policies, and corporate acts.
The role includes participating in negotiations with suppliers, clients, partners, and contractors, providing legal advice to internal teams (HR, Sales, Finance), analyzing legislation affecting the company, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Key responsibilities also involve monitoring legislative changes in IT law, data protection, intellectual property, tax, and commercial law, understanding US federal, state, and local tax reporting requirements, and preparing for SOC 2 compliance.
Developing legal recommendations to optimize business processes is also part of the role.
Requirements:
* At least 2 years of experience in a similar position within the IT sector or legal consulting
* Strong knowledge of IT law, including data protection, intellectual property, and contract law
* Proven experience in drafting and reviewing documents such as NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, agreements, and internal policies
* Successful negotiation experience with suppliers, clients, partners, and contractors
* Excellent academic credentials in IT law
* Fluency in English, both written and spoken
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, time management, and capacity to handle large volumes of information
* Ability to work in a multitasking environment and adapt quickly to changes
