About the RoleAn opportunity has arisen for a Director position to join our Engineering Department in Jumeirah Mallorca. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
Closely supervise all engineering personnel
Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance programme for hotel's equipment, ensuring keeping of proper records
Coordinate and, if requested, supervise projects and outside contractors
Assume responsibility for the cost‐effective operation of the department
Assist in the preparation of the annual revised budget with the financial controller and management
Establish an efficient system for the control and verification of all deliveries to the premises pertaining to the department's operation
Comply with local legislation and act in accordance with any union agreement relating to the maintenance department
About you
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with at least 3 years of experience in hotel engineering operations and 5+ years in civil works and MEP systems (mechanical, electrical and plumbing)
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to organize, prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Hands‐on and solution‐oriented mindset, with solid knowledge of maintenance operations, preventive maintenance programmes and building systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams, manage conflicts and collaborate across departments
Fluent in Spanish and English
