Technical Sales Engineer – Process Heat (Spain)

DUNGS Ibérica S.A., the Spanish subsidiary of the German group Karl Dungs GmbH & Co. KG, is strengthening its commercial and technical presence in Spain and is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer – Process Heat to expand its footprint in the industrial combustion and gas safety market.With over 80 years of engineering excellence, DUNGS is a global leader in combustion control and gas safety systems, delivering high-quality solutions for industrial burners, process heating, power generation, and OEM applications worldwide.

The MissionThis role is designed to drive growth in the Process Heat (GF3) segment across Spain, with a strong focus on industrial OEMs, plant builders, EPCs, and system integrators.The key objective is clear:Expand market share, generate new business opportunities, and increase turnover through technical-commercial leadership in a highly specialized industrial market.We are looking for a candidate with proven market knowledge in industrial thermal processing and combustion systems, not an entry-level profile.

Market & Technical FocusYou will operate in sectors such as:Industrial furnaces and thermal process systemsAluminium melting, ceramics, plastics, and chemicalsOil & Gas and energy systemsPackaging and other process industriesIndustrial burners and boiler manufacturers (OEMs)A deep understanding of:Gas trains, valve systems, pressure regulationCombustion control systemsIndustrial process heat applicationsRegulatory and safety frameworks (CE and local standards)is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Market ExpansionIdentify, approach and develop new OEMs and industrial customers within your territoryStrengthen relationships with plant builders, integrators, and end usersIncrease average deal size through system and solution sellingActively win business from competitors in your areaExecute strategic sales goals aligned with HQ (EMEA Process Heat)

Technical-Commercial LeadershipDevelop tailored gas control and burner system solutions in cooperation with engineering teamsAct as project lead during the solution design phaseAdvise customers on component selection and system configurationTranslate complex technical requirements into commercially viable offersSupport negotiations, pricing strategy and contract discussions

Project & Pipeline ManagementRegister and manage opportunities in coordination with Back OfficeMonitor project progress from first contact to order placementEnsure full traceability and reporting within the Group matrix structureCollaborate closely with HQ for customized or high-value solutions

Candidate ProfileWe are specifically looking for professionals with:Minimum 3+ years of experience in technical sales within industrial environmentsStrong experience in process heat, combustion systems, industrial burners, or thermal processing equipmentBackground in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineeringProven experience in business development and key account managementAbility to manage complex technical discussions with OEM engineersProject management exposure in industrial installationsSpanish and English fluency (German is a plus)

Experience as an application engineer or in oven/furnace construction companies (e.g. industrial furnace manufacturers or thermal equipment suppliers) is highly valued.This is not a beginner role. We are seeking a commercially driven engineer with solid market understanding and the ability to independently structure and grow a sales territory.

Location & MobilityPreferably based in the Basque Country (high industrial density)Regular travel across SpainInitial training and occasional coordination in EuropeRemote-friendly structure with strong autonomy.
