Overview
The Eurofighter Training Centre organization (TASTO5-TL1) is responsible for providing and supporting training activities to Airbus Defence and Space and our Customer Training Centers linked to the Eurofighter programme.
Responsibilities
Instruction: Responsible for Academic Instruction during Phase I and Phase II of the Eurofighter Flying Courses, providing the necessary training when requested by the SAF (Instruction Phase I - Aircraft Basic Operation; Instruction Phase II - Aircraft Weapon Systems Operation); includes simulator instruction, briefings, training sessions and debriefings.
Instruction: Fly the networked simulation training sessions playing the role of Flight / Section Lead for the Pilots when requested.
Instruction: Provide to the SAF the appropriate training for Instrumental Flights, Emergencies Management missions and general Eurofighter Aircraft Knowledge, including both theoretical and practical instruction in the simulator.
Operation: Provide the requisites definition for new databases to the database specialists.
Operation: Lead the Training Scenario creation process and create/modify/test training Scenarios within the appropriate scenario generation/testing tool and training devices.
Operation: Set-up the scenario for training sessions and operate the simulator training mission using the Instructor and Operator Stations as needed to fulfill mission requirements.
Operation: Role play for ATC and GCI activities required during training missions, as well as other players mission related; debriefing sessions set up.
Operation: Device testing support during installation, integration and acceptance of simulator modifications; study possible improvements and generate new requisites for the simulation system.
Operation: Create and maintain a record of the pilot operational requirements.
Other: Support the Airbus Defence and Space and Spanish Eurofighter Programme Office when required with Subject Matter Expertise.
Qualifications
Euorfighter pilot and instructor experience and have a military aviation background with knowledge of Air Combat and Air to Ground tactics and maneuvers in Fighter Squadrons, including acceptable airmanship skills (i.e. ex Fast Jet pilot/navigator, experienced in Air Defense /Air to Ground role).
Background on Eurofighter Training Devices (PSTS Program).
Background to support training mission exercises definition for the Eurofighter Training Devices.
Background to support training operation procedures as for the Ejercito del Aire y del Espacio.
Background to support future contractual Eurofighter simulator requests and technical support definitions for operational tests.
The jobholder will be based in Moron Air Force Base.
