š„ WHO WE ARE
We are the Credit & Counterparty Risk team of RISK MFI, part of BNP Paribasā global Risk function. Our mandate is to oversee credit decisions and counterparty exposures for institutional clients, hedge funds and market infrastructures across EMEA. Based in Madrid, we work closely with Relationship Managers, Credit Officers and RISK teams worldwide.
š MISSION
As a Senior Credit Analyst, you will manage the full credit decision process for regulated funds, including highārisk portfolios. You will ensure rigorous risk oversight and align decisions with BNP Paribasā policies. Your analyses will shape the bankās riskāappetite framework and support regulatory compliance across the EMEA region.
š WHAT YOUāLL DO
- Exercise credit delegation according to the scheme, coāchair Credit Committees and escalate when higher authority is needed.
- Approve policy exceptions, guarantee application of Bank procedures and supervise collateral and legal terms.
- Conduct or request dueādiligence, provide expert support to RISK teams and produce synthetic credit risk analyses.
- Monitor risk exposures, design stressātests and flag emerging credit or counterāparty issues.
- Contribute to regulatory reporting, riskāappetite definition and transformation projects (IT, regulation, methodology).
š§© WHAT YOUāLL BRING
- Masterās degree (MSc) in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of credit/counterparty risk experience, preferably in a large banking environment.
- Proven track record of managing credit delegations, leading committees and delivering comprehensive risk assessments.
- Strong analytical skills and deep knowledge of investment funds, banking products and derivatives.
- Excellent English communication; French is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Proactive, adaptable, organized and capable of influencing senior stakeholders.
