Tesla Maintenance Technician – Fuenlabrada, Community of Madrid, Spain
Tesla is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the operational availability of production equipment. The role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, automation, and robotic systems. The successful candidate will relocate to Tilburg (Netherlands) and must submit a CV translated into English.
What to Expect
As a Tesla Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining a wide range of manufacturing equipment. You will collaborate closely with process and equipment engineering teams to improve reliability and minimize downtime. You will be the first line of response for machine breakdowns, restoring operations quickly to keep production running.
Responsibilities
* Provide daily coverage of production equipment: respond to equipment issues, unplanned downtime, and production requests promptly to maximize availability.
* Diagnose equipment failures, perform first‑line troubleshooting, and escalates failures to Maintenance/Equipment Engineers in a timely manner.
* Plan, prioritize, and perform preventive maintenance tasks and schedules using FLUX and maintain spare parts inventory.
* Work closely with Equipment Engineers to build new equipment and perform major repairs and rebuilds.
* Collaborate with engineering and multidisciplinary teams to resolve maintenance issues, improve reliability, review procedures, and minimize equipment downtime.
* Drive continuous improvement and develop countermeasures to prevent repetitive breakdowns.
* Follow all aspects of maintenance safety protocol (LOTO, 5S, ESD protection, etc.) to ensure safe operations and lead by example.
What You’ll Bring / Qualifications
* High School diploma in technical direction or comparable qualification.
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an equipment maintenance technician, service technician, diagnostics technician, or comparable field.
* Experience and knowledge of mechanical systems, electronics, schematic diagram interpretation, troubleshooting, pneumatics, hydraulics, panel building and wiring.
* Good command of English, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
* General computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
* Willingness to work in a shift pattern and holidays based on rotation.
