Job Title: Country Marketing Lead (Associate Director) Location: Office-based, Madrid, Spain Reporting Relationship: Head of Commercial, Spain Summary The Country Marketing Lead is a key member of the Country Commercial Team and is responsible for shaping and executing the local brand strategy to support a successful launch of Rezdiffra and sustained market growth. This role leads the development of integrated marketing plans, ensures flawless execution in the field, and partners closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact commercial outcomes. The ideal candidate brings deep specialty launch experience, strong strategic acumen, and a hands-on approach to driving performance in fast-evolving markets. S/he will demonstrate patient focus in every decision, act with an owner mindset, champion innovation, and foster collaboration to drive impact and advance Madrigal's purpose of leading the fight against MASH. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of the country brand strategy, aligning with global priorities. Build a comprehensive launch plan tailored to local market dynamics, competitive conditions, and patient needs. Translate scientific and clinical insights into compelling, differentiated value propositions and customer narratives. Serve as the launch champion for the country, driving cross-functional alignment, readiness, and performance tracking. Develop evidence-based brand positioning, messaging platforms, and promotional materials. Partner with medical, market access, and sales to ensure integrated, compliant launch execution. Design and implement omnichannel customer engagement strategies for specialists and other key stakeholders. Identify market barriers and opportunities to shape the ecosystem in support of optimal patient outcomes. Generate actionable insights through proactive customer engagement, analytics, and field collaboration. Co-lead the cross-functional brand team, ensuring strong communication across commercial, medical, regulatory, compliance, and access teams. Collaborate closely with international and global teams to ensure alignment and pull-through of strategy and tools. Partner with the sales organization to deliver effective field team training, messaging pull-through, and performance monitoring. Monitor brand performance using KPIs and insights; adjust plans as needed based on evolving data. Manage the brand budget and ensure efficient, compliant deployment of resources. Provide regular updates on strategy, launch progress, and business risks to local leadership. Profile Strategic, analytical thinker with the ability to translate insights into clear plans and impactful execution. Strong communicator skilled at engaging senior stakeholders and influencing without authority. Collaborative partner who builds trust across commercial, medical, and access functions. Highly organized, with strong project management capabilities and attention to detail. Comfortable operating in agile, fast-paced, and high-accountability environments. Hands-on marketer who balances strategic leadership with operational excellence. Demonstrated ability to lead, make decisions, and maintain momentum in conditions of uncertainty and ambiguity. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in life sciences, business, marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 8+ years of pharmaceutical commercial or marketing experience, including significant specialty launch leadership at the country level. Proven experience developing and executing brand and launch strategies that deliver strong business outcomes. Demonstrated capability in customer engagement, omnichannel strategy, and insights generation. Strong scientific aptitude and ability to translate complex clinical data into clear, compelling messaging. Experience leading and coordinating cross-functional teams. Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills. Fluency in English and Spanish.
