Role Summary
The EMEA Digital Pathology Integration Specialist is responsible for delivering seamless integration of digital pathology solutions across healthcare and research environments within the EMEA region. This role combines technical expertise, workflow optimization, customer engagement to drive successful deployment and adoption of digital pathology platforms.
Responsibilities
* Deploy and maintain Leica Digital Pathology platforms and LIS connectivity within histology environments.
* Provide implementation, integration, technical support, system monitoring, and performance optimization across direct and indirect regions.
* Gather and analyze performance data to enhance system effectiveness and customer experience.
* Serve as a frontline representative, ensuring compliance and maintaining strong communication with end users.
* Collaborate with Digital Pathology teams to execute deployments at customer sites, engaging IT teams and laboratory leadership.
* Integrate Leica solutions into laboratory IT environments, interfacing with departmental IT systems in partnership with Field Service Engineers.
* Address laboratory-specific IT requirements across Leica product categories (PI, HI, AS) and ensure contractual obligations are met.
* Partner with Global Support & Enterprise Solutions teams to resolve major or persistent service issues.
* Deliver product‑specific and competency‑based training for operators and end‑users.
* Support software upgrades and rollouts in coordination with business, marketing, and sales teams.
* Participate in local projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
* University qualification in an IT / Engineering discipline.
* Experience with histology equipment and laboratory processes.
* Proven ability supporting IT systems throughout entire product life cycle.
* Successful record of dealing with external parties such as third‑party IT vendors.
* Fluency in English; local language is a plus.
* Preferred: experience with network configuration (firewall, fixed IP), Microsoft SQL, Mirth Connect HL7 interface engine, and Leica Workflow interfaces.
* Travel: up to 25% of time, including customer sites, BU's, and congresses, with some work outside routine laboratory hours.
