HR Data Quality & Governance Lead

Responsibilities
- Data Governance framework development and implementation: drive the framework with Process Owners, create and maintain data standards.
- Data Quality monitoring and improvement: define and monitor key HR data quality KPIs, lead the creation of dashboards and reports to drive actions that ensure accuracy.
- Map and optimize end‑to‑end HR data flows: document the full data journey, identify ownership, interfaces and pain points.
- Drive alignment on data governance: act as the key HR contact point for corporate data governance in collaboration with the Head of People Analytics; collaborate with process owners to ensure alignment with Wärtsilä‑wide data governance ways of working and contribute to HR AI and Technology governance frameworks.
- Support Global Payroll harmonization project: guide the project to translate local data needs into best‑practice global approaches.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally: work closely with other HR CoE’s, HR operations, IT, data privacy, legal, central data governance and the People Analytics team to ensure data quality and governance.
- Process ownership: act as process owner for changes in Employee/Employment data.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in data governance, data quality management or data stewardship in a large multinational organization.
- Strong understanding of SuccessFactors processes and data model.
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and methodologies.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
- Commitment to data quality and integrity.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
