We are seeking a highly skilled CMDB Discovery Expert to join our Process and Governance Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, managing, and optimizing ServiceNow Discovery to identify and map infrastructure components and services.
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure accurate and up-to-date data in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). This involves performing data cleanup and normalization activities, developing and implementing data quality standards, policies, and procedures, and conducting regular data quality assessments and reports.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of CMDB data modelling, data governance, and data lifecycle management principles. Experience with discovery tools, preferably with ServiceNow, is also essential. Additionally, the candidate should possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
* Configure, manage, and optimize ServiceNow Discovery to identify and map infrastructure components and services.
* Perform data cleanup and normalization activities to maintain CMDB integrity and process duplicates or stale records.
* Develop, implement, and maintain data quality standards, policies, and procedures for the CMDB.
* Conduct regular data quality assessments and reports to identify and address discrepancies, inconsistencies, and errors.
* Collaborate with infrastructure, network, application teams, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate discovery coverage and updates in the CMDB.
* Monitor and report on data quality metrics, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
