JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly reporting to our Fleet & Used Cars Manager, the aim of the Fleet Key Account Role will be to focus on building and promoting strong relationships with external stakeholders in order to ensure Mazda’s Fleet & MDR channel business.
Therefore, the individual taking on this role will be responsible for:
1. Ensure the achievement of fleet sales targets on a yearly basis. This means reaching fleet sales objectives, providing a quick response on new business opportunities, and continuously improving fleet sales performance. To do so, this individual will be expected to maintain and expand national and regional fleet clients at all levels, ensuring personal contact with existing and potential major customers, leasing companies, RACs, and big companies. Moreover, they will be required to respond to inquiries and tender requests from fleet customers while providing support to Key Accounts, leasing companies, and other fleet-relevant stakeholders. Collaboration in the organization of fleet customer events like test drives, auto shows, tech days, and in the implementation of marketing activities focused on fleet business will also be part of our Fleet Key Account Role’s responsibilities.
2. Analyse fleet business operations to identify potential gaps and develop key initiatives. Ensure the proper implementation of fleet programmes (e.g., car rentals, resellers for parts) for major customers, car rentals, leasing companies, public authorities, etc., analyzing results in terms of customer satisfaction and profitability, and detecting risks and opportunities for fleet business.
3. Ensure the development, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of relevant best-fit IT systems. This role also entails ensuring that robust processes and systems are in place to manage the Daily Rental buyback activity.
4. Cooperate with internal interfaces to support shared planning and mutual understanding, involving areas such as Marketing, Sales, Aftersales, or Finance. This implies responsibilities such as taking part in the development of procedures aimed at optimizing the fleet business and ensuring press contacts regarding fleet matters.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate for this position will bring the following:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Engineering.
2. Extensive experience (minimum of 5 years) in a similar position (ideally within fleet operations or B2B sales), with proven results in a commercial role at a leasing company or fleet department in an OEM.
3. Fluency in both English and Spanish (daily use).
4. Willingness to travel frequently within Spain.
5. High degree of customer orientation and networking skills.
6. Solid knowledge and experience with MS Office.
7. Strong negotiation skills.
