Prof. Noelia Caballero-Casero / Dpt. Analytical Chemistry welcomes expressions of interest from Postdoctoral researchers with an excellent track record of research and publication to apply jointly with the UCO to the European Commission Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA-FP) Call 2026 to be launched on 9 April 2026.
My current research focuses on elucidating new sources of chemical exposure to humans in order to identify and determine new organic contaminants. My research group is currently interested in the design and synthesis of supramolecular solvents to improve the sample treatment stage prior to LC combined with high- and low-resolution mass spectrometry analyses, in both for target and non-target approaches. My projects always intend to go beyond the state-of-the-art in integrating contaminant extraction and sample cleanup in a single step, the efficient and simultaneous extraction of solutes in a wide polarity range, and the combined use of informatic and statistical tools for data mining. The final goal of my research line is to assess the chemical risk associated with occupational exposure to emerging compounds. For this purpose, it is necessary to develop a green analytical platform that provides a reliable and holistic view of the occurrence of emerging compounds in the work environment.
