Compete Tartget Prize International Painting ContestInternational Deadline: May 31, 2026 – The second edition of the Tartget Prize International Painting Contest is now open. This international contemporary painting competition has a prize pool of over $100,000.
Artists representing all techniques and styles have until May 31, 2026 to register their works online and compete to be one of the 200 finalists in a contest that distributes more than €90,000 in prizes. Tartget will award prizes in 10 categories, ranging from figurative art to abstract, including conceptual art. Works from hyperrealism to impressionism, surrealism, and abstraction are accepted.
The historic Ateneo de Madrid, just steps from the Prado Museum and the Thyssen Museum, will host the winners' exhibition, the awards ceremony, and a selection of finalists from September 18 to 25, 2026.
Eligibility / ParticipantsThe competition is open to artists of all techniques, styles, and career stages. Submissions are welcomed in figurative, contemporary, abstract, and conceptual styles, as well as traditional mediums like oil, watercolor, and drawing.
JuryWorld‐renowned judges include J. Hunsung (South Korea), Dirk Dzimirsky (Germany), Ivan Loginov (Russia), Jean Haines (UK), Jacob Dhein (USA), Don Eddy (USA), and Jason Anderson (UK).

Deadlines & Entry FeesExclusive early‐bird deadline advantage. 75 guaranteed finalist places will be awarded among all works registered before the early‐bird deadline on April 19th. Selected artists will bypass the general selection process for the official closing date of May 31st.
