Job Description:
SO/ Sotogrande, a luxury hotel in the beautiful coastal town of Sotogrande, Spain, is seeking a professional and customer-focused Restaurant Supervisor to join our team. As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests while leading and motivating our restaurant staff.
* Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and high customer satisfaction
* Lead, train, and motivate the restaurant team to maintain SO/ Sotogrande's high standards of service
* Manage staff scheduling, assignments, and performance evaluations
* Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
* Handle customer inquiries, special requests, and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain menu knowledge and assist with food and wine pairings
* Manage inventory, place orders, and control costs while maintaining quality
* Implement and maintain SO/ Sotogrande's luxury hospitality standards
* Assist in organizing and executing special events and promotions
* Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the restaurant area
Qualifications:
* Minimum 2-3 years of experience in restaurant supervision or management, preferably in luxury dining establishments
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
* Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable dining experiences
* Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine pairing
* Proficiency in using Point of Sale (POS) systems and inventory management tools
* Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
* Excellent conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
* Fluency in English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus
* High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
* Food Safety Certification (e.g., ServSafe) required
* Knowledge of Spanish and international cuisine
* Familiarity with luxury hospitality standards and practices
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
* Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
