Post-Doctoral Researcher in Translation, Interpretation, and Multimodal Communication
Position: Post-Doctoral Researcher in Translation, Interpretation, and Multimodal Communication at ICADE Business School (Cantoblanco campus, Madrid).
Duration: 3 years full‑time, starting 1 September _____.
Responsibilities
* Research (50%) – co‑lead work packages on stakeholder engagement and replication strategies for circular construction in the EU as part of the Horizon Europe project CREDIBLE.
* Design and facilitate participatory workshops and focus groups with diverse stakeholders and communities.
* Develop socio‑technical frameworks to support scaling of circular solutions across diverse cultural and geographic contexts.
* Collaborate with an international consortium on policy analysis, communication strategies, and sustainability transitions.
* Write high‑quality academic papers and contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration.
* Teaching (50%) – teach up to 9 ECTS per year in Communication (e.g., communication theory, environmental communication, qualitative methods).
* Support departmental initiatives, student supervision, and curriculum development.
* Participate in academic life of the faculty.
Qualifications
* Doctoral degree in Communication or related Social Sciences, Humanities, or Engineering.
* Academic research experience and development/assessment of stakeholder engagement campaigns.
* Experience in social science research methods, sustainability transitions, stakeholder engagement, and/or environmental communication.
* Familiarity with participatory methods, the Multi‑Level Perspective, and circular economy frameworks.
* Strong record of academic writing and interdisciplinary collaboration.
* Teaching experience or clear ability to manage a classroom.
* Excellent communication skills in English (required); Spanish desired; other European languages helpful.
* Ability to work in a team and lead a research line.
* Familiarity with EU policy and programs related to circular economy and energy transitions.
