Finance Controller – Venture Capital Sector | Madrid

Responsibilities
Oversee accounting functions, including fund closings, LP reporting, tax compliance, audits, and CNMV submissions.
Drive continuous improvement of systems and processes to optimize efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Maintain robust accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate, compliant financial records.
Collaborate with portfolio companies and the investment team on fund operations such as capital calls, distributions, and performance metrics.
Support compliance requirements across funds (ESG, AML, and related regulations).
Requirements
~ University degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
~4–5 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, or audit—ideally within Venture Capital, Private Equity, or regulated financial sectors.
~ Strong understanding of local accounting standards and regulatory compliance.
~ Advanced Excel and proficiency with digital/AI analytical tools.
~ Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
~ Fluency in Spanish and English.
