Job description:
The candidate will join several ongoing projects at national and international level within the person-centered care and innovation for better care research lines, which include the following (among others):
BUILD:
Project: Research project funded by Horizon Europe seeking to involve older adults with complex care needs, formal and informal carers, communities, and policy-makers in the creation of person-centered integrated care (PC-IC) solutions. It aims to develop a comprehensive framework and toolbox to facilitate implementation of participatory co-design methodologies and community engagement strategies for socially including and sustainable PC-IC solutions.
FAD role:
leading the identification of promising policy and governance practices in long-term care and development of policy recommendations for PC-IC
LIVERATION:
Project:
pragmatic randomized phase III trial of the use of radiofrequency in liver resection surgery for the reduction in local recurrence in colorectal liver metastases and hepatocellular carcinoma, funded by Horizon Europe Mission on Cancer, Diagnosis and Treatment.
FAD role:
leading the task of patient-reported experience and patient-reported outcomes evaluation in 7 countries of Europe, as well as the development of Living Labs and decision aids for patients with liver cancer.
ENABLE:
Project:
European Network promoting best practices and technologies on medication adherence, following from the ENABLE COST Action, which included activities to raise awareness, assess and address training needs of diverse stakeholders, showcase evidence-based technologies for medication adherence support, and explore implementation barriers and reimbursement policies across European countries. ENABLE is organized as a not-for-profit partnership aiming to promote training, research and sustainable adoption of best practices and technologies supporting medication adherence.
FAD role:
Leading partner of the ENABLE network.
Key responsibilities:
· Coordination of and contribution to several research projects (see examples above)
· Participation in the preparation of project proposals for national and international calls
· Review and synthesis of scientific literature.
· Supervision and/or support in research participant recruitment (e.g. contact with centers, logistical tasks), design and implementation of questionnaires and forms for quantitative data collection, conducting fieldwork for qualitative data collection.
· Data analysis (quantitative, qualitative, mixed) and results reporting for different audiences.
· Preparation of manuscripts and support in the preparation of scientific reports and documents.
· Coordination with project partners (e.g. research institutions, government, private organisations) for reaching project objectives in established timelines.
Required qualifications:
Education:
· Training and qualifications: PhD, preferably in health sciences (medicine, nursing, psychology, etc.) or social sciences (sociology, political science, anthropology, etc.)
Experience:
· Research experience in clinical or health-related projects (e.g. health psychology, health services research, pragmatic clinical trials) – the position is open to both early-career and mid-career researchers
Knowledge, skills, abilities:
· Literature review methodologies and conducting review studies, including critical analysis of literature
· Qualitative methods, e.g. performing interviews and moderating focus groups, data analysis and interpretation
· Quantitative methods, e.g. questionnaire selection, design and validation, data analysis and interpretation
· Preparation of scientific reports and documents
· Teamwork, time management, communication, empathy, assertiveness.
· Languages: it is considered essential to have an excellent command of English, written and spoken (
minimum C1)
Preferred qualifications:
Education and experience:
· Research experience with patient populations
· Experience and/or training in accreditation, person-centred care and other areas of quality of care
· Experience working in interdisciplinary projects
· Experience working in international collaborations
Knowledge, skills, abilities:
· Evaluation and implementation designs in healthcare
· Selection or adaptation of theoretical frameworks to different research objectives and contexts
· Moderation and coordination of working groups, including meeting management
· Languages:
a good command of Spanish and Catalan,, written and spoken, will be valued.
Other:
· Flexibility to make short-term trips (in the Spanish and European geographical area)

Interest in person-centered care, implementation science, PROMs and PREMs evaluation
