What we are looking to hire:
We are seeking a Senior Director – Sales to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will report to the Senior Vice President, Sales and support our growing sales organization through high-impact leadership, operational execution, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement. This is a highly visible role internally and externally in which you will partner cross-functionally to drive efficiency and performance improvement. You will define, support, and implement global sales initiatives designed to achieve global bookings and revenue objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Own the achievement of revenue targets for all service levels and teams
* Drive revenue growth with the existing customer base
* Develop long-term growth strategies for key accounts by fostering strategic account planning and by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities
* Oversee the day-to-day operations across 3 account management teams
* Contribute to leading the Demand Booster business unit as part of the leadership team.
* Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching, leadership, and mentoring
* Enable team leaders to form high-performing teams.
* Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and capabilities
* Monitor key performance indicators such as GRR, NRR, NPS, upsell and cross-sell revenue
* Develop and manage revenue forecasts, and prepare monthly reports for Senior Management / MBRs
* Collaborate with key stakeholders e.g. Sales, Channel Teams, Technical Operations
* Build strong, personal relationships with key decision-makers at key accounts
* Identify dissatisfied customers and contribute to turning them into advocates by being a senior escalation point
* Negotiate contracts and agreements that meet client needs and drive revenue growth
* Partner with product teams to develop solutions that meet client needs
* Standardize key processes and ways of working across all account management teams
* Contribute to fast and seamless customer onboarding.
Requirements:
* 10+ years of experience in account management, customer success, or client services roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position
* Proven experience leading large account management teams in a B2B digital marketing, SaaS, or tech-enabled service environment
* Deep understanding of the hospitality industry, ideally with a strong network or background working with hotels or hotel groups
* Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, including upsell, cross-sell, and contract expansion strategies
* Experience in managing revenue targets, including forecasting and reporting to executive stakeholders
* Strong people leadership skills, including team development, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration
* Track record of building and scaling high-performing teams, ideally across multiple regions or time zones
* Skilled in change management and standardizing processes across teams
* Strong commercial acumen with experience in strategic account planning
* Ability to interpret and act on key performance metrics such as GRR (Gross Revenue Retention), NRR (Net Revenue Retention), NPS, and CSAT
* Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements and renewals
* Excellent client relationship skills, with the ability to build trusted advisor relationships with senior stakeholders
* Demonstrated ability to manage client escalations and turn around at-risk accounts
* Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and reporting tools (Tableau)
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in German and English; comfortable presenting to C-level audiences
* Experience in digital marketing solutions, especially performance-based marketing or metasearch for hospitality.
