You will work at the forefront of renewable energies, contributing to grid-forming and grid-following technologies that enable stable, reliable, and sustainable electrical networks with high renewable penetration. /ppThis position offers the opportunity to work in a highly technical, international environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and contributing directly to innovative solutions for the energy transition. /ppbr/ppstrongHow you’ll make an impact /strong /ppbr/pulliHybridisation of renewable energy generation sources: sizing, optimisation, and energy balancing of microgrids to meet load requirements, integrating generation and storage elements with high renewable penetration. /liliStudy system stability and response to electrical transients, including symmetrical and asymmetrical faults, voltage dips, frequency disturbances, and power oscillation damping (POD). /liliSystem modelling of renewable generation plants, electrical machines, conventional generators, and related components. /liliPerform grid code compliance analysis for generation facilities and systems. /liliDevelop proof-of-concepts and validate functionalities of control systems. /liliSimulate, test, and debug control algorithms for power systems and power converters. /liliProvide technical support to other teams and departments. /liliPrepare clear and structured technical documentation for projects and engineering studies. /liliPerform commissioning tasks for power conversion and control systems interfacing with energy storage systems in the laboratory. /liliConduct technical analysis of logs, errors, signals, and metrics, generating reusable reports to support engineering, quality assurance, and certification processes. /li /ulpbr/ppstrongYour background /strong /ppbr/pulliBSc or MSc degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical field (minimum requirement). /liliStrong knowledge of frequency and voltage regulation control for electrical networks. /liliProven experience in defining functionalities and implementing closed-loop control systems. /liliDemonstrated experience in developing and implementing control algorithms for power electronics converters and/or electrical machines. /liliSolid understanding of Grid-Following and Grid-Forming control concepts for power applications. /liliHands-on experience with PSCAD or similar simulation tools; knowledge of DIgSILENT PowerFactory and PSSE is a plus. /liliBackground in power conversion applications for energy or industrial markets. /liliDesirable experience in energy design and calculation for photovoltaic plants, including microgrid sizing and energy balancing. /liliFamiliarity with electrical system modelling. /liliExperience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems is a plus. /liliProficiency in C/C++ and Python programming languages. /liliExperience with grid code compliance is desirable. /liliHigh level of self-motivation, curiosity, and willingness to learn new technologies. /liliAdvanced English proficiency is required. /liliDesirable: at least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
