Overview The SAP Security Architect (m/f/d) is responsible for designing and maintaining a secure SAP landscape that aligns with corporate information security strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of SAP systems and modules, as well as the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams to ensure robust protection against evolving threats.
Location and working model LOCATION: The working location for this position will be in Madrid city, where we are currently setting up a new office location. Until the office is fully set-up within the next few months, you will have the possibility to work flexibly from home-office and continue with a hybrid working model afterwards. This position is not a fully remote position, and an onsite presence will be required once our office location is ready.
Responsibilities Lead the technical design and development of secure SAP architectures, covering access control, data protection and threat mitigation
Define and enforce SAP security policies, standards, and procedures across the organization in alignment with the Information Security Framework
Conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate security controls within SAP environments based on risk
Evaluate SAP security technologies and solutions
Identify and drive security enhancements in SAP platforms (e.g. S/4HANA, ECC, BW, Fiori)
Collaborate closely with SAP development, engineering, IT operations and compliance teams to ensure security is embedded throughout the SAP lifecycle
Adopt and promote a security-by-design approach with the different stakeholders
Actively contribute to the Coporate Information Security architecture community, sharing insights and best practices
Stay current with SAP security trends, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications Bachelor's/Master's in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on SAP environments
Following certificates are preferred; CISSP, CISM or SAP certifications
English is a Must, German and French are a plus
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST)
Deep expertise in SAP security best practices, including user and role management, authorization concepts and secure configuration
In-depth understanding of SAP S/4HANA, RISE, ECC and other SAP modules, and their security implications
Experience designing secure architectures for both cloud-based and on-premise SAP deployments
Familiarity with Enterprise Access Management (EAM) and Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions
