Product Management Specialist - Cloud Platform – Enterprise Cloud
OpenNebula Systems is a European open‑source technology leader that helps organizations manage corporate data centers and build Enterprise Clouds. We are hiring a Product Management Specialist to join our new team in Europe and develop the next generation management platform for the Cloud‑Edge Computing Continuum.
We are looking for a candidate with strong hands‑on experience in the cloud infrastructure industry who can translate business strategies into technical requirements, coordinate cross‑functional activities, and manage user acceptance testing.
Responsibilities
* Communicate product strategy internally and align teams involved in development, delivery, support, promotion and sales.
* Gather and analyze feedback from users, customers, projects and stakeholders to define, prioritize and maintain requirements.
* Engage with the community to ensure OpenNebula meets business goals and users’ needs.
* Lead UAT and pilot new features with specific user subsets.
* Create and maintain a detailed product roadmap with documented requirements, epics, and user stories.
* Contribute to global architecture and API design and the internal architecture of building blocks.
* Schedule, manage and coordinate product releases across multiple teams.
* Manage and mitigate risks and resolve issues regarding release quality and schedule.
* Work with community and marketing on product communication and promotional material.
* Monitor release process, downloads and collect feedback from teams and customers.
* Continuously measure and analyze product performance and market expansion.
* Support user adoption and awareness, assist in go‑to‑market strategies and marketing plans.
* Perform research on the cloud and edge management platform market.
* Do competitive landscape benchmarking to analyze gaps and opportunities.
* Schedule and plan meetings of the Product Management Board and stakeholders.
* Ensure all team members adhere to product development best practices and enforce policies.
* Stay updated on emerging technologies, best practices and industry standards.
Experience Required
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
* 5+ years of hands‑on experience in development, project or product management in the cloud computing field.
* 3+ years overall Cloud background.
* Hands‑on experience leading the entire UAT process.
* Hands‑on experience managing or contributing to open‑source projects.
* Deep understanding of product vision, launch and other concepts.
* Extensive knowledge of the software development process, UAT process and Agile ceremonies.
* Experience working with other cloud management platforms is strongly preferred.
* English fluency at a professional or native‑equivalent level.
* Multi‑tasks, prioritises and meets deadlines in a timely manner.
* Strong collaboration, teamwork and leadership skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a team following an agile methodology.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
