What You’ll Do
As a Software Configuration Engineer, you will be part of an EMEA-based team delivering high-level technical support across client sites in EMEA. Your work will mainly focus on Energy Power Management System (EPMS), Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM), and SCADA-related Eaton software solutions for customer projects. You will bring domain expertise to contribute to various activities in software-based projects:
* Coordinate software site deployment and testing of Eaton solutions in different electrical infrastructures (like data centers, C&I, etc.).
* Design the technical scope of budgetary and binding proposals.
* Resolve Level 3 escalated technical support requests related to your area of expertise.
* Define software deployment work methods with criteria for local teams and third parties.
* Support sales and project management teams with technical scope definition and risk mitigation.
* Produce and validate engineering documentation in cooperation with various Eaton technical teams.
* Perform internal and external technical presentations and training; participate in process and tool standardization initiatives.
* Coordinate with project and implementation teams on snags and escalation resolutions. Engage in high-level resource planning to support priority projects.
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent in Power Management, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Automation from an accredited institution.
* 6-8+ years of experience with power system automation software, energy power management systems, and data center infrastructure management.
* 3-4+ years of relevant engineering experience with power management systems within a data center environment.
Skills
* Familiarity with power distribution systems, including MV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS, and EPMS/DCIM systems.
* Knowledge of PLC, HMI, network infrastructure, IED programming, and logic control is a plus.
* Strong collaboration and communication skills in English and Spanish.
* Self-driven and solution-oriented when solving complex technical problems.
* No major restrictions on travel within EMEA and/or to the USA. Valid driving license and flexibility to travel within the region.
