Atida Iberia is the leading player in the parapharmacy eCommerce space in Spain, wuth a catalogue of 25.000+ products across more than 400 suppliers.
We are seeking a Head of Procurement to own and optimize our purchasing operations. This role will be responsible for defining our weekly purchasing strategy — including product mix, volumes, and inventory levels — while ensuring flawless execution by the buying team.
Beyond procurement planning, this person will oversee the full inbound process: supplier onboarding, product data accuracy, delivery notes, and coordination with the warehouse to guarantee product availability and traceability. The role is highly cross-functional, requiring close collaboration with commercial, logistics, finance, and operations teams.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you’ll play a key role in balancing growth, efficiency, and operational excellence.
What you´ll do
Lead Procurement Strategy
* Define weekly purchasing plans (products, volumes, inventory days).
* Optimize buying strategies to balance product availability, cost efficiency, and cash flow.
* Align purchasing decisions with commercial forecasts and business priorities.
Ensure Execution Excellence
* Supervise and coach the team of buyers, ensuring accurate and timely purchase orders.
* Monitor execution and resolve issues quickly, minimizing stockouts or overstocking.
* Establish and track KPIs for purchasing and inbound performance.
Manage Supplier Relationships
* Oversee supplier onboarding and homologation processes.
* Ensure complete and accurate product information, delivery notes, and traceability.
* Build strong relationships with key suppliers to secure competitive pricing and reliable deliveries (lead times) for smooth inbound flows.
Optimize Inbound Operations
* Provide accurate and timely purchasing forecasts on operational inputs to enable Logistics to plan storage capacity, staffing, and shifts.
* Coordinate closely with the warehouse on inbound processes to ensure smooth flow of goods, and with Customer Service teams on quality issues to enable transparent customer communication
* Align purchasing with inbound planning and logistic capacity, including adapted Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ).
* Improve end-to-end traceability and compliance of product flows.
Drive Process Improvement
* Continuously refine procurement and inbound workflows for scalability.
* Implement reporting systems and dashboards to monitor performance.
* Monitor supplier reliability and lead time performance.
* Partner with finance, logistics, and commercial to ensure alignment across functions.
