About the Company - Verdalia Bioenergy Spain is looking for an Accounting Expert with Tax Knowledge to support the financial operations and compliance needs of our growing renewable energy company. This position involves managing accounting tasks, ensuring tax compliance, and contributing to financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting with expertise in tax laws and regulations, and an interest in working in a dynamic, sustainability-focused company.
About the Role - Key Responsibilities
* Accounting Operations : Perform daily accounting activities, including general ledger management, accounts payable / receivable, and payroll.
* Compliance : Ensure adherence to accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and tax laws.
* Treasury Support : Assist in treasury management, including preparing suppliers' schedules, payments, and bank statement reconciliations.
* Tax Support : Collaborate with external advisors for tax filings and ensure accurate and timely tax compliance.
* Financial Reporting : Support accruals, reconciliations, tax provisions, and financial disclosures for accurate financial reporting.
* ERP Participation : Contribute to the implementation and optimization of a new ERP system.
Qualifications
* Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Strong knowledge of Spanish & International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), tax laws, and consolidation principles.
* Minimum 2-5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on accounts payable / receivable, financial statements, and tax obligations.
* Proficiency in ERPs (experience with Oracle NetSuite is a plus).
* Renewable energy sector experience is preferred.
* Native Spanish speaker with fluency in English.
* Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy and regulatory compliance.
* Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration across departments.
