Position Overview
The Sales Director – Spain will be responsible for leading all retail and fleet sales operations across the company’s Spanish dealership network. This strategic role focuses on achieving business growth, maximizing profitability, and ensuring a best-in-class customer experience across all sales channels.
The ideal candidate will bring proven sales leadership experience from a leading automotive OEM or dealership group, with deep understanding of the Spanish market, strong commercial acumen, and a track record of delivering performance in a dynamic, customer-centric environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and drive the overall sales strategy for Spain in alignment with the company’s integral and regional business objectives. - Oversee sales operations across multiple dealerships and brands, ensuring strong performance and consistent standards. - Achieve sales targets across retail, fleet, and used car segments while maintaining profitability and customer satisfaction. - Collaborate with OEM partners on sales programs, incentive schemes, and market campaigns. - Develop and implement pricing, volume, and channel strategies to maximize market share. - Ensure excellence in sales processes, CRM management, and customer journey optimization. - Drive team performance through coaching, goal setting, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify new business opportunities. - Collaborate closely with Marketing, Aftersales, and Finance teams to ensure integrated commercial success. - Manage budgets, forecasting, and performance reporting to the Managing Director and Board.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or related field. - 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in the automotive industry, ideally with a global OEM or large dealer group. - Strong track record in achieving sales and profit targets in a competitive, multi-brand environment. - Deep understanding of Spanish automotive retail, fleet, and used car markets. - Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. - Fluent in Spanish and English; other European languages are a plus. - Highly results-driven, analytical, and customer-focused mindset.
